Traffic Crash Investigation: ARRB Breakfast Event

ARRB will be hosting an event in support of National Road Safety Week 2021 to highlight the importance of Traffic Crash Investigations on the 19th of May, 2021. Investigation of crashes forms a critical part of the scientific method.

They will be demonstrating the importance of keeping a proper lookout and adhering to posted speed limits at roadworks sites in a mock collision in partnership with Altus Traffic Management. They will be illustrating the increased stopping distance for a driver exceeding the speed limit compared to the stopping distance for a driver traveling in a safe car complying with posted signs.

The demonstration will call attention to the value of crash reconstruction in identifying key factors which lead to a crash, the importance of buying a safe vehicle and will also acknowledge the importance of post-crash care and fire rescue to improve patient outcomes.

ARRB will be focusing on these facts and more on Traffic Crash Investigation at a free intimate event in support of National Road Safety Week 2021at the National Transport Research Organisation at 80a Turner Street, Port Melbourne on the 19th of May.
