On Monday May 17 we are hosting a morning tea in the Regional Botanic Garden with Mayor Denise Knight and we would love you to come. We have joined together with the Men’s Shed and Botanic Garden to create a yellow flowering garden for the week as a space where people can reflect on lives changed or lost on our roads.

Did you know:
• While country residents make up only one-third of the NSW population, two-thirds of all fatalities occur on country roads
• More than 70 per cent of fatal crashes on country roads involve country residents
• 53% of fatal accidents in Coffs Harbour between 2015-19 involved speeding
• 10% of serious casualties were cyclists.
You are also invited to visit the gardens all week and reflect upon loved ones. Whist there write the name of someone special on a ribbon or sunflower and plant it in amongst the swathe of yellow flowers. Free yellow lapel ribbons are available to all.
